Get involved

It couldn't be easier!
Believe it or not, socks help us to get people talking on World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), celebrated each year on 21 March.
All you need to do is choose some socks that are going to get noticed - they might be mismatched socks or your craziest and most colourful socks, whatever takes your fancy!
Get your friends, class mates and colleagues to join in too! If you're at home you can connect online via social media.
We have created a set of posters to help you to get your friends and co-workers involved - click here to download posters.

The idea is to start a conversation, so when people ask you about your socks you can tell them, "I'm wearing them to raise awareness of Down syndrome".
Get yourself informed so you can tell them about Down syndrome:

Sock Bunting
A town in Germany filled the streets with Sock bunting.

Knit along
Lisa Ross of Paper Daisy Creations organised a Knit-a-long; sock knitters from all over the world were encouraged to cast-on brightly coloured socks to wear on WDSD! Designers sold digital designs on Ravelry with all the proceeds going to benefit DSi. They raised £12,993.60. A huge thank you to Lisa and all of the knitters who took part.

CSM Sport & Entertainment
Everyone really got into the spirit and as you can see had a good time wearing the socks! We even had our CEO from South Africa wearing them on the Cape Epic bike ride!
