About the #LotsOfSocks campaign

Michael Caines wearing Lots of Socks

Welcome to the official home of the #LotsOfSocks campaign.

The #LotsOfSocks campaign exists to raise awareness of Down syndrome.

You can wear #LotsOfSocks anytime you like, all you need to do is choose some socks that are going to get noticed - they might be mismatched socks or your craziest and most colourful socks, whatever takes your fancy!

It's great fun to get involved, get your friends, class mates and colleagues to join in too!

The idea is to start a conversation, if someone asks you about your socks you can tell them, "I'm wearing them to raise awareness of Down syndrome".

Get yourself informed so you can tell them about Down syndrome.

Be a part of the global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome.

There is one very special day in the year when we encourage you and all of your friends to wear #LotsOfSocks - 21 March is World Down Syndrome Day and on that day we want the world to unite in their #LotsOfSocks to create a single global voice.

(Yes, that is THE Michael Caines, one of the UK’s most celebrated and acclaimed chefs wearing #LotsOfSocks!)
